I started painting murals in 2020 and it has been my favorite way to create! Murals can be a showstopper for your business or home. You can see my Mural pricing guide below to give you an idea on the cost for your project.
I have been commissioned by Neiman Marcus in Boston, The Appalachian Trail Museum, The Town of Damascus, and residents along the East Coast!

“Monica did an incredible job bringing our mural vision to life, and making it even better than I ever could have imagined. Every time I see it I’m blown away by the detail and by Monica’s incredible artistic ability!”

“Working with Monica could not have been better! I feel so lucky to have found her and would definitely work with her again in the future. She was creative and imaginative but was really able to tailor things to our vision.”

“Our mural is absolutely beautiful! I like the quality of the work that was completed and that the art is unique to us! It’s amazing to have a piece of the outdoors that we love so much in our home. Truly is my favorite part of our home now!”

How much will it cost? Cost can vary greatly with complexity, size, surface, and if it is interior/exterior. Murals are generally a custom created work of art that require a lot of time and planning to help ensure you get the perfect mural for your space. Murals can cost anywhere from $10-$25 per sq ft and I have a project minimum of $500. It is best to reach out to me at chasingtrailsart@gmail.com to get an accurate quote.
What does the process look like? First, it is best to have a wall in mind, design ideas, and an approximate budget and timeline you want to stay within. From there, I can give you an estimate, discuss amount of wall coverage and complexity for the budget you want to stay within. Once a deposit is sent, I will create a few designs for us to work with. Once we agree on a design we can finalize a painting date and start painting. Final payment is due upon completion of mural projects.
Creating a mural is a team effort between the client and the artist. It is important to work together especially during the design process to ensure we are creating a one of a kind work of art for your space.
How long will it last? It depends on a few factors including the type of wall, sun exposure, and if it is interior or exterior. On average, indoor murals can last decades, typically between 10-20 years or more. Outdoor murals can last between 5-20 years and I add a translucent UV layer for any murals that are in high sun exposure areas.
When should I reach out about my project? Depending on the complexity and the size of a mural project they can take anywhere from one day to one+ month to paint! From our first chat to painting completion it can take up to several weeks to design and get you on the schedule. It is best to reach out at least one month prior to your preferred painting schedule.
Who do you work with? I work with businesses and residents in Massachusetts and New England! I am also willing to travel depending on the project. If you are unsure just reach out!
Can you make a mockup for me before we commit to painting? Unfortunately, I cannot do any design work prior to a non-refundable down payment for the mural. This is usually between $200-$500. This protects my time and secures you a spot on calendar.
